Thoughts of An Eaten Sun > v2

The wolf grew in size and infamy. He could not exist on children alone, so he then hunted larger beings. Eventually he consumed the entire population of hte village. And with these people gone he moved on to larger and larger towns. Every day his size increased and he became as large as a hill, able to devour a single town in one night. His footsteps now trembling the ground and his tail causing the breeze. His howls a calamity to behold.

Never did he cease growing or hunting. And the entire world was taken from fear. This wolf was then the size of a mountain range and no more could a city tide his vast appetite. No more could he find respite form the sunlight. And so he looked skyward and saw the object that so annoyed him. And it seemed a fitting meal. That night he lept into the sky and needed to grow. He feasted on meteors and asteroids before moving onto planets. From our vantage point, we saw him dart about in haste. And so we relaxed; our fear receding. Each passing day would ahve the calm sun riding through the sky while the wolf shot to and fro in anxiety. He slowly ate meteors and grew in size.

One morning we awoke to find the moon, just risen, be devoured. The wolf’s gargantuan jaws swing wide open and then close, to break the moon in half. The other half cracked into many large pieced and he swallowed them down whole. Many of the smaller fragments rained down to the surface of our planet or evaporated in the atmosphere. That day our tides ceased and people again feared the wolf.

Astronomers kept a close watch on his activities now. Mercury and Venus quickly vanished. Mars was swallowed down soon after its moons. Wailing broke out in the streets, people preaching, repenting…. and looting too. Our earth was feared to be next. But Neptune and Uranus were taken instead and those served to grow the wolf rather quickly. He would sometimes cough and uo a bit of blue atmosphere would come.

[[What are the sizes of the planets from smallest to largest? Let’s explain each one in some detail.]]

Venus broke and a quarter fell into the sun. It was so hot he coughed it back up and had to wait for it to cool. What happens when the tides stop? The gas giants grow him most of all. The storm raging on Jupiter (?) gives him a stomach ache and what does he do as a result? He disappears for several days from our view. He must be slumbering behind one of the other planets.
